The Friends of the UCSC Farm & Garden will offer a series of 2019 community workshops this summer and into fall that cover gopher control, floral design, seed saving, garden herbalism, and field sketching. Build your skill set and learn techniques to keep your crops safe from pests, grow herbs for your health, save your own seeds, and create floral arrangements or artwork inspired by a garden setting.
Workshop instructors include Thomas Wittman, founder and owner of Gophers Limited, Caroline Martin of Wild Moon Flowers, Laura Vollset of Fieldsketch Farm, artist Tina Somers, Darren Huckle, practitioner of Wester and Chinese herbal medicine, and Kellee Matsushita-Tseng of the UCSC Farm & Garden.
