Students can find opportunities to get involved with the campus food system and access healthy, affordable food in the 2021-2022 UC Santa Cruz Campus Food & Garden Guide, now available for free online as an interactive PDF.

Published annually since 2006 by the UCSC Food Systems Working Group (FSWG) and the Center for Agroecology & Sustainable Food Systems (CASFS), the 16th edition of the Campus Food & Garden Guide offers students and others a range of information on UCSC's classes, internships, farm and gardens, volunteer opportunities, and other information and activities related to the campus and community food system. Measure 43 funding supports production and distribution of the Campus Food and Garden Guide.

This year’s publication features student art and poetry in addition to food access resources, including information on the CalFresh program, a campus food resources map, and information on where students can access farm-fresh produce.

Readers can also learn about the history of food access and basic needs work at UCSC, Global Food Initiative Fellowships, Measure 43 funding for student projects, campus cooking and nutrition workshops offered throughout the year, and the campus’s “Real Food” goals.
